Investment leads to citizenship and second passport
Overview
The Citizenship by Investment program in St. Kitts & Nevis is one of the oldest such programs available. Established in 1984 it grants citizenship and a second passport to investors and their families who either make a contribution to the national development fund or invest in real estate in St. Kitts & Nevis.
Details
Applicants are required to contribute either $150,000 to the Hurricane Relief Fund or $250,000 (+additional amounts per family member) into the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) or invest $400,000 into a government approved real estate project of which there are several that we can advise on. There are additional fees and taxes to pay with all options.
Through the real estate option, the investment has to be maintained for a minimum of five years. Applicants must be of of outstanding character, hold a clean criminal record, be in excellent health and have a high personal net worth.
There is no minimum residency requirement and no need to visit the island in order to submit the application. The application process takes typically 4-6 months.
