Dominica Government Reduce CBI Fees

October 2nd, 2017   •   Comments Off on Dominica Government Reduce CBI Fees

Despite the recent hurricane which sadly hit Dominica last month, the government’s Citizenship by Investment unit remains open and in full operation, which is a great reflection of how resilient and efficient this stunning Island is.

The Government of Dominica have recently announced a significant fee reduction for those opting for the real estate option when investing for Citizenship.

Previously, a single person applying for the program would have paid $50,000 in government fees, but these have changed to just $25,000 for a single applicant or $35,000 for a family of four.  This is a 50% saving, making the programme even more cost effective than it previously was.

The donation option in Dominica remains the same, starting from just $100,000 for a single applicant + fees. Dominica is one of the lowest priced citizenship by investment programmes in the world and it has been hugely popular because of this.

Citizenship of Dominica will grant one a second passport which enables visa free travel to over 118 countries worldwide including the Schengen zone, Hong Kong, UK and Switzerland. It offers a great solution for those simply looking to broaden their travel opportunities at a low cost.

Not only have the fees been reduced, Dominica have also increased the age limit for dependent children, which means that dependent children up to the age of 30 years old can now be included.

Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme Amends Family Age Limits.

December 12th, 2016   •   Comments Off on Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme Amends Family Age Limits.

As part of the Commonwealth, Dominica is just one of a number of Caribbean islands offering a low cost Citizenship by Investment scheme. Dominica has just recently amended its programme to include some additional benefits. One of the main improvements is that the age limit for children has been increased from 25 years old to 28 years old. Secondly, the age limit for elderly dependents has been decreased to 55 years old, resulting in a more flexible scheme for those wishing to include a number of family members under one application.

Dominica offers one of the most cost effective and quickest citizenship by investment programmes in the world. Investors can choose from two main options to obtain a second passport, a non refundable donation to the government at $100,000 per single applicant + fees, or an investment in real estate, starting from $200,000 + fees. The passport can be issued as quickly as 3 – 4 months and will allow investors the ability to visa free travel to over 100 countries worldwide including the UK and the Schengen zone.

The government fees associated with a real estate investment are now as follows:

  • Children above the age of 18 but younger than 28 – $25,000.
  • Elderly dependents – $25,000.

Investors considering the Caribbean, can also look at the Citizenship by Investment schemes in St Kitts, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda and St Lucia.
